I wear prescription glasses for distance - and the last time i went to the eye doctor and had to buy new glasses i was floored. My new insurance covered the exam only - so i had to buy the glasses myself. Everywhere i went - the charges were in the range of $100 to $200 for the perscription lenses, and an additional $50 + for the frames. (And that's the cheap ones). I went on line and found this site - i ordered my perscription glasses and got them WITH the frame complete for less than 40 bucks (with shipping and everything - i did not pick the least expensive style).
